Mineros - Lenadores 86-92

Lenadores outgunned Mineros in the playoffs opener. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Michael Smith (193-95, college: CBU) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas, agency: Best of You Sports) added 19 points in the effort for Mineros. Four Mineros players scored in double figures.

Dorados - Fuerza Regia 76-78

Fuerza Regia nipped Dorados to take 1-0 lead. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Ole Miss) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Argentinian Kevin Hernandez (205-91) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Thomas Allen scored 11 points.

Soles - Astros 79-87

Astros upset Soles in the opener. The former international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: SJSU) fired 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American-Puerto Rican guard Isaac Sosa-Carrion (191-90, college: Canisius) chipped in 20 points. American forward Shonn Miller (201-93, college: UConn) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Luke Martinez (190-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Five Soles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Aaguacateros - Libertadores 116-112

Aaguacateros held off Libertadores to ensure 1-0 lead in the series. Aaguacateros made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Aaguacateros players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Avry Holmes (185-94, college: Clemson) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and forward Rodney Green (183-88, college: La Salle) accounted for 30 points. Aaguacateros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) came up with 30 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Libertadores in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
