Giron number one in Mexican LBE for round 1- March 22, 2021
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, nine rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out NCG Potros (#5, 1-5) 104-101. Toros is placed at 2nd position in Mexican LBE. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Toros will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Giron had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Toros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Western New Mexico University star has very solid stats this year. Giron is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.7ppg), rebounds (9th best: 6.3rpg) and averages impressive 41.2% from behind 3-point line. The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old American Ramon Galloway (190-SG-91) of league's leader Dorados. Galloway had a very good evening with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Dorados to edge Indios (0-6) 103-99. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Galloway is one of the most experienced players at Dorados and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 4.3rpg and 3.3apg. Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Fabian Jaimes (198-PF-92) of Soles (#4). Jaimes showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, eighteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Soles, leading his team to a 107-93 easy win against Indios (#6, 0-6). Soles needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Jaimes has a great season in Mexico. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
