Best players of Mexican LBE round 2- March 24, 2021
The 30-year old guard had a double-double of 51 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team edged out Indios (#6, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 116-112. NCG Potros is placed at 5th position in Mexican LBE. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Pledger had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 20 attempts. He just recently signed at NCG Potros and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American guard Gary Ricks (185-G-91) of Soles. Ricks impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 10 assists. Of course he led Soles to another comfortable win 119-103 over NCG Potros (1-5) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Ricks is one of the most experienced players at Soles and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 5.3apg. The third best performed player last round was American Eric Dawson (206-C-84) of top-ranked Dorados. Dawson scored 21 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Dorados, leading his team to a 100-95 win against #4 ranked Soles in a game of the week. Dorados started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Dawson turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Dawson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Dawson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Other top performing players last week: 4. Omar De Haro (188-SG-95) of Toros - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists 7. Jerome Seagears (185-G-92) of Indios - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists 8. Trent Steen (203-F-96) of Soles - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists 9. Ramon Galloway (190-SG-91) of Dorados - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists 10.
