McCray number one in Mexican LBE for round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Gabe McCray (201-F-94) had a great game in the last round for Indios, receiving a Hoops Agents LBE Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (41 points, seven rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat NCG Potros (1-9) 111-96. Indios is placed at 5th position in Mexican LBE. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game McCray had a remarkable 69.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Indios, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former South Carolina State University star has very solid stats this year. McCray is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.2ppg) and averages impressive 50.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Panamanian center Joshua Ibarra (211-C-95) of league's second-best Centauros. Ibarra had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Centauros was edged by slightly lower-ranked Toros (#4, 6-4) 99-98. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Centauros still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Ibarra is one of the most experienced players at Centauros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Eric Dawson (206-C-84, agency: Interperformances) of league's top team Dorados. Dawson showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, seventeen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Dawson's great performance Dorados lost 86-90 to #3 ranked Soles. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. That was shocking loss for Dorados and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 9-1 record in the league holding top position in the standings. Dawson plays for a very strong team and Dorados has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Dawson has a great season in Mexico. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.8rpg (#1 in league). Dawson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
