Soles defeated Dorados to force the decisive Game 7 in the championship series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 33-24. But Dorados won second period 34-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Soles won last quarter 40-37. They made 36-of-47 free shots (76.6 percent) during the game, while Dorados only scored nineteen points from the stripe. Soles looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 35 personal fouls committed by Dorados helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) who led his team to a victory with 37 points (!!!) and 7 assists. The other American import guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSUB) contributed with 29 points for the winners. Naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dorados. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dorados' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
