Best players of Mexican LNBP round 7 (by Hoops Agents)- September 29, 2021
The 29-year old shooting guard had the game-high 29 points adding nine rebounds and eight assists for Libertadores in his team's victory, helping them to crush Plateros (#2, 5-5) with 19-point margin 106-87. Libertadores maintains the 3rd position in their group in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Libertadores will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Blue had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Libertadores' top player in his first season with the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Blue is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.9ppg. Blue is in league's top in and averages solid 56.5% FGP and 55.8% from behind 3-point line. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old American forward Eric Ferguson (203-F-89) of Halc.Xalapa. Ferguson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Halc.Xalapa to edge slightly higher-ranked Lenadores (#4, 4-5) by 1 point 88-87. Halc.Xalapa's 5th position in East has not changed. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Halc.Xalapa managed to get this year. Ferguson is a newcomer at Halc.Xalapa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. The third best performed player last round was American Germain Jordan (198-F-86) of Lenadores (#4). Jordan got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Jordan's great performance Lenadores lost 87-88 to slightly lower-ranked Halc.Xalapa (#5, 2-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Lenadores ranking at the top of East, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jordan could help Lenadores to bring them higher in the standings. The season just started for Jordan as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Other top performing players last week: 4. Mikh McKinney (184-G-92) of Halc.Xalapa - 28 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists 5.
