Phoenix Fuel Masters (PBA) added to their roster experienced 35-year old American swingman Dominique Sutton (198cm-98kg-86, college: NCCU). Sutton played last summer at Libertadores in Mexican LNBP. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 6 LNBP games he recorded 6.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3spg.
Part of last season he spent at Al Hilal in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 7 games he averaged impressive 19.1ppg, 13.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg. Sutton helped them to make it to the semifinals. He also played for Unahotels Reggio Emilia in Italian Serie A. In four games he had 4.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.0apg. Sutton also played 3 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he got 5.7ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.3spg.
In 2012 he was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in first round (6th overall).
He attended North Carolina Central University and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
Sutton has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in twelve different countries. Sutton has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ahli), China (Anhui Wenyi), France (Sluc Nancy and Chalon/Saor), Germany (ratiopharm Ulm), Greece (AE Kallitheas), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Burgos), Italy (Brindisi and Trento), Philippines (North Port and Air21 Express), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors and OKC Blue), Dominican Republic (Titanes) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention back in 2019.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Phoenix.
