Agua Prieta - Dorados 85-101

Dorados celebrated LBE title. They handed Agua Prieta the fourth straight defeat in the championship series to conquer the trophy. Strangely Vaqueros outrebounded Dorados 40-0 including a 35- advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Dominican point guard Gabriel Cortes who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Jorge Gutierrez (191-1988, college: California) contributed with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Marvin Phillips (201-1983, college: Claflin) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Jose Valdez (201-1985) added 18 points in the effort for Vaqueros. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
