Plateras de Fresnillo (LNBPF) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American 183cm forward Kamilah Jackson (college: Hawaii). Jackson moved there from Plasencia in Spanish LF Challenge. In 22 games she recorded 10.0ppg, 9.6rpg and 1.6apg last season. The last summer she played at GS Invasion in U.S. semi-pro league UBA where in three games she averaged 13.7ppg, 13.3rpg, 2.3apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg.
She is a very experienced player. Jackson has played also professionally in Finland (Espoo Team), Iceland (Grindavik), Israel (Raanana), Portugal (GDESSA/Barreiro and Benfica), Switzerland (Fribourg and Aarau) and Turkey (Urla).
She graduated from University of Hawaii in 2014 and it is her eighth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe her following way: Kamilah is a physical player with a high basketball IQ who can score in a variety of ways; back to the basket, face up or off the dribble. Jackson can shoot mid range and 3s at a good percentage. In addition to being a great scorer, she has a unique gift at her size for getting rebounds. Kamilah loves contact and loves to use her aggressive style of play while rebounding. She has a knack for the ball, by reading the flight of ball and using her strong body frame to her advantage she is able to secure a lot of rebounds. Jackson was one of the best in the nation for her double doubles and rebounding average. Kamilah is a wonderful person and even better teammate, with her unselfish play she does a great job setting up her teammates for easy scoring opportunities. Kamilah has had the opportunity to play with success in Switzerland, Portugal, Israel and Finland.
