Manisa Buyuksehir Belediye (TBL) added to their roster 32-year old Mexican international shooting guard Francisco Cruz (191cm-95kg-1989, college: Wyoming) for new 2022-2023 season. Cruz will still stay in Turkey where he played last season at Tofas (BSL). In 24 games he had 13.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.1apg and 1.2spg. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played 12 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 13.1ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.5apg. Cruz helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. The last season he played at Afyon Bld (BSL). In 25 games he was the best scorer with impressive 19.6ppg and averaged 3.8rpg, 5.5apg and 1.2spg in 2020-2021 season.
He has been also a member of Mexican international program for some years. Cruz has regularly played for Mexican senior team since 2020 and previously for University National Team back in 2011.
He represented Mexico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) four years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 15.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.0apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 34.6%, 3PT: 32.4%, FT: 70.0%.
Cruz is quite experienced player. Cruz's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in five different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Cruz has played previously professionally in Argentina (Olimpico), Latvia (VEF Riga), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Fuenlabrada) and Mexico (Halcones Rojos, Fuerza Guinda Nogales and Pioneros).
He graduated from University of Wyoming in 2012 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
