Fuerza Regia welcomes back Johnson- August 30, 2022
In 2010 he was drafted by Idaho Stampede (D-League) in third round (16th overall). He graduated from Azusa Pacific University and it will be his 14th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. Johnson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012. He is a very experienced player. Johnson has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Lhasa), France (Entente Orleans 45), Germany (ALBA Berlin), Israel (Maccabi Rishon), Lebanon (Al Riyadi), Poland (WKS Slask and Siarka), Turkey (Bandirma), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Texas Legends and Canton Charge), Italy (Varese, Pistoia, Venezia and Udine) and The Basketball Tournament (Bluff City). Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Honorable Mention back in 2019. Johnson's game is described as: Dominique is an athletic 6'5" combo guard with a strong body and great ability to score and defend. Johnson is an outstanding teammate and personality, a smart player who is better suited in Europe as a scorer and a top defender. Dominique is shockingly successful having come from a NAIA school. Even so, Dominique could easily become one of the top players in Europe even at the Euroleague level.
