Mauricio Cheda
Mauricio Cheda
#1. This week's number one is former University international forward Mauricio Cheda (198-1990, college: UTEP, currently plays in Spain). He led Mataro Parc to a victory over the 12th-ranked Agora Portals (0-3) 70-61 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. Cheda was MVP of the game. He scored 13 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 27 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Mataro Parc this season. His team is placed tenth in Group C-1. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Cheda has a dual citizenship: Mexican and Spanish. He played for the Mexican university national team year ago.

Juan Toscano-Anderson

The Los Angeles Lakers (0-2) were defeated 103-97 in a derby game by the Clippers. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Cruz was not able to help Manisa (0-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance Manisa was crushed 90-69 on the road by the higher-ranked (#7) Tofas. Cruz scored 11 points in 27 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Cruz has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.0apg, 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 85.7% in three games he played so far. Former Fuerza Guinda Nogales starter played for the Mexican national team year ago.
