Jacqueline Luna-Castro (ex Dafni Agioy) joins Teporacas

Teporacas-de-Chihuahua (LMBPF) agreed terms with 30-year old Mexican-American international forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188cm-1993, college: Charleston) for new 2023 season. Luna-Castro joins another USA player Briahanna Jackson who is already in the roster.
She just played at Dafni Agioy in Greek A1 league. In 11 games she had 8.3ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.9apg last season. She also played 2 games in Eurocup where she recorded very impressive stats: 19.0ppg and 4.5rpg. The last summer she played at Adelitas in Mexican LNBPF. In 30 games she averaged 6.5ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.4apg. She helped them to make it to the Mexican LNBPF final after they ended regular season as second best team.
Luna-Castro also represented Mexico at the FIBA Centrobasket Women's Championship in Mexico last year. Luna-Castro's team won Silver and her stats at that event were 4 games: 10.8ppg, Reb-5 (8.0rpg), 2.8apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 48.0%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 70.0%.
She is quite experienced player. Luna-Castro's career allowed her to visit four different continents, while she played in eight different countries. Luna-Castro tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Australia (Thunder and Rollers), Finland (Kouvottaret), Lithuania (Vilniaus Kibirkstis-MRU), Puerto Rico (Cangrejeras), Spain (Bembibre), Sweden (Hogsbo) and Mexico (Lobas). Luna-Castro was also voted to Latinbasket.com All-FIBA AmeriCup Honorable Mention back in 2017 and 2019.
She won Mexican LMBPF championship title in 2021.
Luna-Castro graduated from College of Charleston in 2016 and it is her seventh season as a professional player.
