LNBPF 2023 - Halcones tab Venezuela Roselis Silva

Halcones de Xalapa (LNBPF) inked 31-year old Venezuelan international 166cm point guard Roselis Silva (college: Arkansas Tech) for upcoming season. Silva played recently at Embutidos Pajariel Bembibre PDM in Spanish LF Endesa. In 30 games she averaged 6.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.2apg and 2.1spg last season. Good year as she was voted League Player of the Week. The last season she played at Lointek Gernika Bizkaia (also in LF Endesa) where in 31 games she had 4.8ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg. She also played 8 games in Eurocup where she recorded 4.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg.
Silva has been also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She has regularly played for Venezuelan senior team since 2008 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2008.
Silva represented Venezuela at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) seven years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 12.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.6apg, Steals-5 (2.2spg), FGP: 47.1%, 3PT: 28.6%, FT: 76.9%.
She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Silva has played previously professionally in Paraguay (Sol de America Asuncion), Spain (Zamarat, Logrono, Araski and Azkoitia) and Venezuela (Anzoategui). She was also selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Defensive Player of the Year back in 2016 and 2019.
Her team won Paraguayan Metropolitan League Apertura Regular Season in 2017.
Silva graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2014 and it is her ninth season in pro basketball.
