Libertadores de Queretaro (LNBPF) signed experienced 35-year old American power forward Lyndra Weaver (185cm-1987, college: Virginia) for upcoming 2023 season. It is actually her comeback to Queretaro as she has played here before. Weaver just played at Bellona Kayseri Basketbol in Turkish KBSL. In 23 games she had very impressive stats: 21.8ppg, 7.9rpg and 2.7apg last season. 2022-23 was a great year as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Honorable Mention. The last summer she played at Libertadores in Mexican LNBPF where in 25 games she was the best scorer with remarkable 21.6ppg and averaged 7.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Good season as she was named League Player of the Week (2 times).
In 2009 she was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in second round (17th overall).
Weaver graduated from University of Virginia and it will be her 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
She is quite experienced player. Weaver has played in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Argentina (Club Deportivo de Berazategui Buenos Aires), Israel (Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan), Italy (Parma and Vigarano), Latvia, Poland (PolskaStrefaInwestycji Enea Gorzow Wielkopolski), Puerto Rico (Gigantes and Atenienses), Spain (IDK Eustotren, Logrono, CREF Hola and Tenerife), Ecuador (Universidad Tecnologica Equinoc. Quito and Lums) and Egypt (Heliopolis).
