LNBPF 2023 - Freseras sign D'Asia Chambers, ex Bashkimi

D'Asia Chambers

Freseras Irapuato (LNBPF) signed 30-year old American swingman D'Asia Chambers (182cm-1992, college: Slippery Rock). Chambers played last season at Bashkimi in Kosovan Superliga. In 9 games she had 11.3ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.7apg. She helped them to win the cup and make to league semifinals. 2021-22 was a great season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Kosovo League Second Team. Chambers also played 7 games in Liga Unike where she recorded very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 3.6apg and 1.3spg. 2021-22 was a great season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Liga Unike 2nd Team.
She ended the previous (2021) season at Real Esteli in Nicaraguan LSBF. In 11 games she averaged remarkable 18.5ppg, 8.6rpg, 5.0apg and 3.5spg in 2021 year. She contributed to her team winning the Nicaraguan League title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2021-21 was a great year as she was voted Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSBF Finals MVP and named to Honorable Mention. But the most of that year she spent at Tornadoes in Australian NBL One South. In 14 games she got 7.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg in 2021 year.
She is quite experienced player. Chambers has played on five different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia, Africa and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Finland (Kouvottaret), Germany (Rotenburg/Scheessel and Fireballs), Luxembourg (Musel Pikes), Egypt (Sporting) and Czech Republic (SBS Ostrava).
Chambers graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2015 and it will be her eighth season as a professional player. She played also for St. Bonaventure University for one year.
