LNBPF 2023 - Marie Benson (ex Rize) is a newcomer at Libertadores

Libertadores de Queretaro (LNBPF) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American forward Marie Benson (185cm-1997, college: UT Arlington). Benson moved there from Rize Belediyesi in Turkish KBSL. In 22 games she recorded very impressive stats: 17.6ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.5apg and 2.1spg (in top 2) last season. A very spectacular year in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish KBSL Honorable Mention. The last summer she played at Gigantes in Puerto Rican BSNF where in three games she averaged 11.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg.
She has played previously professionally also in Czech Republic (Basket Slovanka MB Tabor). Benson was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Forward of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
She graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 2020 and it is her third season as a professional player. Benson played also for The University of Texas San Antonio for 3 years.
