Plateros de Fresnillo (LNBP) agreed terms with 29-year old American (has also Puerto Rican passport) guard Jaysean Paige (188cm-91kg-1994, college: WVU) for new 2023-24 season. Paige played this summer at Best Virginia (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He also played for Mets in Puerto Rican BSN where in 46 games he had very impressive stats: 16.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1spg. 2023-23 was a great season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention. Paige also spent pre-season at Best Virginia in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament. He has been regularly called to Puerto Rican Senior National Team since 2020.
Paige is quite experienced player. Paige's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eight different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Paige has played previously professionally in France (C'Chartres), Germany, Hungary (Atomeromu), United Kingdom (Newcastle Eagles), NBA (Detroit Pistons), North Macedonia (Karpos Sokoli), Puerto Rico (Indios) and NBA G League (Maine Celtics).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team made it to the NBA G League Winter Showcase Cup Final Four in 2022. He was also voted All-Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year back in 2016.
Paige graduated from West Virginia University in 2016 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played also for Moberly Area Community College for one year.
