Fernandez's 23 points and 5 assists give him Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award

29-year old point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-PG-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Santos and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 23 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Santos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Correcaminos (#6, 1-3) 102-91. It allowed Santos to take over top position in the Mexican LNBP. The season is still on an early stage, but Santos already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Fernandez had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Santos' top player in his first season with the team.

Second best performed player last round was Branden Frazier (191-G-1992) of Libertadores. He is American guard in his first season at Libertadores. In the last game Frazier recorded impressive 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Libertadores was edged by Correcaminos (1-3) 103-102. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Frazier is a newcomer at Libertadores and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 4.8rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Chris Perry (203-F-1994) of Mineros (#7). Perry scored 24 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). Despite Perry's great performance Mineros lost 81-87 to Astros (#2, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Mineros can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Perry has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.5rpg (#1 in league).
