The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Apaches as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Apaches defeated 4th ranked Pioneros in Chihuahua 105-97. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Pioneros at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Toros. Pioneros will play next round against strong Toros trying to get back on the winning streak. Apaches will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Indomables in Ciudad Juarez.
Important game to mention about took place in Nuevo Laredo. Third ranked Dorados (5-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 4th ranked Toros (2-5) 125-124 on Wednesday evening. Dorados moved-up to second place, which they share with Indomables. Toros lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keep the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Pioneros. Dorados will play against bottom-ranked Indios (#6) in Ciudad Juarez in the next round. Toros will play on the road against Pioneros in Delicias and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
