Worth to mention a quality performance of Brazilian center Joao Franca (215-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Cameron Mitchell who added 29 points during the contest. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach Enrique Zuniga allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Colombian forward Michael Jackson (192-1987) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Tijuana Zonkeys have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-5 record. Culiacan at the other side stay dead last with 20 lost games. Tijuana will play against Mazatlan (#5) at home in the next round. Culiacan will play against the league's second-placed Astros (#2) in Guadalajara and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obregon maintains sixth position with 11-13 record. Loser Rayos de Hermosillo keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Obregon will meet at home Frayles (#9) in the next round. Hermosillo will play against Angeles (#3) in Ciudad de Mexico and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
