The most important game in the last round took place in Guaymas between third ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (23-13) and seventh ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (15-21) on Saturday night. Rayos de Hermosillo was defeated by Ostioneros de Guaymas in a tough game on the road 97-104. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. Guaymas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rayos de Hermosillo's 34. Strangely Hermosillo outrebounded Guaymas 45-27 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guaymas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Hermosillo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bottom-ranked Frayles de Guasave managed to get a eighth victory. This time they edged fifth-ranked Venados 124-122. Leader Tijuana Zonkeys delivered the twenty eighth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (14-22) 121-95. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Cameron Mitchell who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Qyidar Davis responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tijuana Zonkeys have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-8 record. Loser Pioneros Los Mochis keep the eighth place with 22 games lost.
