Martinez's 21 points and 7 rebounds give her LNBPF Player of the Week award

26-year old Salvadorean Hillary Martinez (172-SF-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Santas del Potosi and receives a Hoops Agents LNBPF Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had the game-high 21 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Santas in her team's victory, helping them to beat Panteras (#5, 6-8) 89-78. Santas maintains the 8th position in Mexican league. Santas is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 5-9 record. Martinez just recently signed at Santas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Hillary Martinez averages this season 8.1ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Tinara Moore (189-F-1996) of Panteras de Aguascalientes. She is American forward in her first season at Panteras. In the last game Moore recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Panteras lost that game 78-89 to the lower-ranked Santas (#8, 5-9). Panteras managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Moore is one of the most experienced players at Panteras and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#5). She also registered 5.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Mayra Gil (174-G-2003) of Freseras Irapuato (#6). Gil scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was a key player of Freseras, leading her team to a 82-76 win against the higher-ranked Fuerza Regia (#2, 12-4). The chances of Freseras ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Gil could help Freseras to bring them higher in the standings. Gil has a very solid season. In 12 games in Mexico she scored 8.3ppg.
