Lobos Plateados de la BUAP sign Tyrone Lee, ex Trouville

The Lobos Plateados de la BUAP (LNBP) have signed experienced 34-year-old American 203cm power forward Tyrone Lee (college: GVSU) for the upcoming season. He will be playing alongside fellow USA player Daniel Hamilton, who is already on the team. Lee's most recent stint was with Trouville in the Uruguayan LUB league, where he averaged 10.2ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, and 1.3bpg in 15 games last season. During the previous (2023) summer, he played for Halcones UV Xalapa.
He is a very experienced player, having traveled the world during his pro career, playing in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia, and North America). Lee has played professionally in Argentina (Boca and Platense), Australia (Mount Gambier Pioneers and NW Tasmania Thunder), Chile (Concepcion, Castro, and Los Leones), Latvia (Jurmala), United Kingdom (Flyers), Venezuela (Gigantes), Bolivia (Club Universidad San Simon), and ABA (Motor City F.).
He won the Uruguay Metropolitan League championship title in 2023. He received the Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Player of the Year award and the Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Import Player of the Year award in 2023.
Lee graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2013 and it'll be his 12th season in pro basketball. He played also for Oakland Community College for 2 years.
