Allen's double-double lands him LNBP Player of the Week award

30-year old American center Kevin Allen (211-C-1994, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Santos de San Luis Potosi and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Diablos (#7, 2-2) 89-88. Thanks to this victory Santos moved-up to the 4th position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Santos will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Allen has many years of experience at Santos, through which he has constantly improved. Emporia State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Allen is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (9th best: 6.8rpg) and averages solid 61.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Isaiah Palermo (196-G-2000) of Lobos Plateados de la BUAP. He is Puerto Rican guard in his first season at Lobos BUAP. In the last game Palermo recorded an impressive 20 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led Lobos BUAP to another comfortable win 97-78 over Correcaminos (1-3) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Lobos BUAP managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 11th place. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Lobos BUAP managed to get this year. Palermo is one of the most experienced players at Lobos BUAP and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Lobos BUAP's star - guard Jordan Goldwire (188-G-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency). Goldwire showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Lobos Plateados de la BUAP, helping his team with a 97-78 easy win against Correcaminos (1-3). Lobos BUAP can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Goldwire has a very solid season. In 4 games in Mexico he scored 15.3ppg.
