American Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994) had a great game in the last round for Abejas de Leon and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 30-year old power forward had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat El Calor (#10, 5-6) 76-68. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Abejas maintains the 16th position in Mexican LNBP. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Abejas have already lost 8 games and recorded just one victory. Jones turned to be Abejas' top player in his first season with the team. William Penn University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.6ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerian power forward Maxie Esho (206-F/C-1991) of Lobos Plateados de la BUAP. Esho impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Lobos BUAP lost that game 91-103 to the higher-ranked Mineros (#4, 8-4). Lobos BUAP managed to keep the same 11th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Esho is a newcomer at Lobos BUAP and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.6ppg (#7). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Ryan Pearson (198-F-1990, agency: Inception Sports) of Soles de Mexicali (#12). Pearson showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Pearson's great performance the Soles lost 73-77 to the higher-ranked Diablos (#3, 8-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Soles ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pearson could help Soles to bring them higher in the standings. Pearson has a very solid season. In 5 games in Mexico he scored 9.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cecil Williams (198-F-1995) of Diablos - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Micah Speight (178-PG-1998) of Fuerza Regia - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Cameron Mitchell (195-G/F-1992) of El Calor - 19 points and 4 rebounds
7. Malik Curry (184-G-1999) of Mineros - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
