Axel Toupane (ex Levallois) joins Diablos

Axel Toupane

Diablos Rojos del Mexico (LNBP) agreed terms with 32-year old French ex-international swingman Axel Toupane (199cm-1992). He played last season at Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 in French ProB. In 23 Betclic ELITE ProA games he had 12.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Toupane was also a member of the French international program for some years. He played for French Senior National Team between 2017 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2012.
Toupane also represented France at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers last year. His team won Bronze and he had 3 ppg.
He is quite an experienced player. Toupane has played in Greece (Olympiacos), Italy, Lithuania (Zalgiris), Spain (Unicaja), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, GS Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Toronto Raptors), France (Pau Lacq Orthez, SIG Strasbourg, and Paris Basket), and NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors and Raptors 905 Mississauga).
He won an NBA championship title in 2021. He was voted to the Greek League All-Star Game in 2019.
