McClenton number one in Mexican LNBP for round 23 (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Deion McClenton (208-C) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Plateros de Fresnillo, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 23.
The player had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Abejas (#16, 2-13) 92-89. Plateros maintains the 6th position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Plateros will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. It was one of impressive evenings for McClenton as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Deion McClenton averages this season 7.0ppg and 6.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jimond Ivey (196-G-1996) of Freseras Irapuato. Ivey had a very good evening with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Freseras was edged by the higher-ranked Fuerza Regia (#1, 15-3) 93-90. Freseras is still in a red zone at 13th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-11 record. Ivey is a newcomer at Freseras, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#1). He also recorded 5.1 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Swedish guard Elijah Clarance (194-G-1998) of Dorados de Chihuahua (#7). Clarance showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Clarance's great performance the Dorados lost 91-99 to the higher-ranked Halc.Xalapa (#2, 13-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Dorados needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 8 lost games. Clarance has a great season in Mexico. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (2nd best). He also has a FGP of 58.8% and 3PT: 46.0%.
