Ivey number one in Mexican LNBP for round 26 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Jimond Ivey (196-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Freseras Irapuato, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out El Calor (#13, 6-13) 85-82. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Freseras is placed at 9th position in Mexican LNBP. Freseras is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-11 record. In the team's last game Ivey had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Freseras' top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Akron star has very solid stats this year. Ivey is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.5ppg), assists (8th best: 4.8apg) and averages impressive 60.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Deion McClenton (208-C) of Plateros de Fresnillo. McClenton had a very good evening with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Plateros to edge Diablos (12-8) 79-76. This victory allowed Plateros to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. McClenton is a newcomer at Plateros and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Jerai Grant (203-C/F-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's top team Fuerza Regia Monterrey. Grant scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Fuerza Regia, leading his team to a 71-70 win against the lower-ranked Halc.Rojos (#12, 7-13). Fuerza Regia confirms their top position in the standings. Grant has a very solid season. In 18 games in Mexico he scored 11.3ppg. He also has 5.0rpg and a FGP of 60.1%.
