Thomas' double-double lands him LNBP Player of the Week award

29-year old USA-ARGn power forward Erik Thomas (195-PF-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Soles de Mexicali and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 31.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Panteras (#3, 17-9) with 28-point margin 100-72. Soles maintains the 8th position in Mexican LNBP. Soles is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-13 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Soles' top player in his first season with the team. Erik Thomas averages this season 14.4ppg and 6.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Deshawndre Washington (201-G) of Halcones Rojos de Veracruz. He is American guard in his first season at Halc.Rojos. In the last game Washington recorded an impressive 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Halcones Rojos to another comfortable win 96-83 over Santos (12-14) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Halc.Rojos managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. Third place about best performers goes to Demitrius Conger (196-SF-1990) of Dorados de Chihuahua (#6). Conger scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was a key player of Dorados, leading his team to a 81-74 win against the lower-ranked Correcaminos (#16, 5-20). Dorados needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 10 lost games. Conger has a very solid season. In 23 games in Mexico he scored 9.1ppg.
