Washington's 33-point game gives him LNBP Player of the Week award

American Guard Deshawndre Washington (201-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for Halcones Rojos de Veracruz and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 37.
He had the game-high 33 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Halc.Rojos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Diablos (#3, 20-10) 100-95. Halcones Rojos maintains the 10th position in Mexican LNBP. Halc.Rojos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-15 record. Washington turned to be Halcones Rojos' top player in his first season with the team. New Mexico State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Washington is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.7ppg. Washington is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.1apg).

Second best performed player last round was Charles Mitchell (203-F/C-1993) of Dorados de Chihuahua. He is American forward in his first season at Dorados. In the last game Mitchell recorded an impressive 17 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Dorados lost that game 76-81 to slightly higher-ranked Panteras (#5, 18-12). Despite lost game Dorados moved up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 17-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mitchell is a newcomer at Dorados and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Thad McFadden (188-G-1987) of Halcones UV Xalapa (#4). McFadden scored 27 points and passed 5 assists. Despite McFadden's great performance the Halcones UV Xalapa lost 76-81 to #1 ranked Fuerza Regia. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Halc.Xalapa needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 20 victories and 10 lost games. McFadden has a very solid season. In 28 games in Mexico he scored 14.0ppg.
