Mexico overcame Guatemala at the start of CentroBasket 2024. The hosts of the tournament did not leave any chances for the opponents in a 109-31 win.
Mexico started with a 24-10 run and dominated the whole game. Mayra Gil (174-G-2003) led the way with 17 points and Karina Esquer (170-F-2000) poured in 15. Sofia Acuna (176-PG-2007) had 14 points and Angela Rodriguez (173-G-1991, college: Milwaukee) as well as Dana Soto (167-PG-1997) delivered 13 each.
