Spartans de Distrito Capital Caracas (SPB) inked 31-year old American 185cm guard Avry Holmes (college: Clemson) for upcoming season. Holmes played last summer at Diablos in Mexican LNBP. In 47 games he averaged 13.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.8apg. He helped them to win the LNBP title. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week and selected to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Third Team. The last season he played at US Monastir (ProA) in Tunisian league. Holmes contributed to his team winning the Tunisian League title despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
In 2017 he was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (G-League) in third round (66th overall).
The former Clemson University standout is in his ninth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Holmes has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Latin America, Africa and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Greece, Uruguay (Aguada), Venezuela (Panteras) and The Basketball Tournament (Power of the Paw). he voted toCentral Valley Player of the Year back in 2011 and 2012. Holmes played also for University of San Francisco for 2 years.
