Pitts number one in Mexico LMBPF for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Destiny Pitts (178-G-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Mieleras de Guanajuato, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, seven rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Dragonas (#5, 4-6) with 39-point margin 93-54. It allowed Mieleras to consolidate first place in the Mexican LMBPF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Mieleras keeps a perfect 12-0 record. In the team's last game Pitts had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She just recently signed at Mieleras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Texas A&M University star has very solid stats this year. Pitts is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.5ppg), rebounds (7th best: 7.9rpg), assists (2nd best: 4.8apg) and averages impressive 51.1% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was Yesica Vallejo of Toritas. Vallejo had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Toritas lost that game 43-60 to the higher-ranked Univ. Modelo (#3, 7-3). Toritas is still second from the bottom in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Toritas managed to get this year. Vallejo is one of the most experienced players at Toritas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Rachel Ortiz of Huskys (#8). Ortiz scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Huskys, leading her team to a 66-60 win against slightly lower-ranked Penguins (#9, 1-9). Huskys can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Ortiz has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.6rpg (6th best).
