Velazquez's 19 points and 8 rebounds give her Player of the Week award

Paola Velazquez put on an amazing game in the last round for Dragonas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Dragonas in her team's victory, helping them to crush Huskys (#8, 2-10) with 21-point margin 91-70. Dragonas maintains the 5th position in Mexican LMBPF. Dragonas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game Velazquez had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Dragonas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Velazquez has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.4ppg), assists (4th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 100.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Alma Dominguez (163-G-1997) of Mineras. She is a guard in her first season at Mineras. In the last game Dominguez recorded an impressive 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Mineras cruised to a 65-55 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Toritas (#7, 2-10). Mineras' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 8-4 record is not bad at all. Dominguez is one of the most experienced players at Mineras and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Mineras' star - forward Maria Faz (187-PF-1994). Faz scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Mineras, helping her team with a 61-52 win against the lower-ranked Las Avispas (#6, 4-8). Mineras needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Faz has a very solid season. In 7 games in Mexico she scored 8.1ppg. She also has 7.0rpg and a FGP of 56.8%.
