Tanis' 38-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

30-year old Cuban forward Suanly Tanis (178-F-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Toritas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
She had the game-high 38 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Toritas in her team's victory, helping them to beat Penguins (#9, 2-12) 77-64. Toritas is placed at 7th position in Mexican LMBPF. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 11 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Tanis had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Toritas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Suanly Tanis averages this season 24.5ppg and 6.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Zaira Aldama (178-F/C-1998) of Dragonas. She is a forward in her first season at Dragonas. In the last game Aldama recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Dragonas to edge slightly lower-ranked Las Avispas (#6, 4-10) by 6 points 60-54. Dragonas' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 8-6 record is not bad at all. Aldama is one of the most experienced players at Dragonas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Gabriela Castrejon of Las Avispas (#6). Castrejon showcased her all-around game by recording 9 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Castrejon's great performance the Las Avispas lost 54-60 to slightly higher-ranked Dragonas (#4, 8-6). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Las Avispas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Castrejon has individually a great season in Mexico. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (#1 in league).
