Beltran number one in Mexico LMBPF for round 17

International Point guard Paola Beltran (164-PG-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Libelulas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 30-year old player got a double-double of 30 points and 10 assists, while her team outclassed Huskys (#8, 2-14) with 72-point margin 115-43. Libelulas maintains the 2nd position in Mexican LMBPF. They are still close to the very top. Libelulas would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-2 record. In the team's last game Beltran had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. She just recently signed at Libelulas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Paola Beltran has solid league stats. She is in league's top in assists (4th best: 3.5apg) and averages impressive 44.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Paola Estrada (172-G-1993, agency: DC Sports) of Mineras. Estrada had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Mineras to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Penguins (#9, 2-14) 94-48. Mineras' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 12-4 record is not bad at all. Estrada is a newcomer at Mineras, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Libelulas' star - forward Montserrat Aguilar (181-F-1998, agency: Daggers Sports). Aguilar scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was another key player of Libelulas, helping her team with a 115-43 easy win against the lower-ranked Huskys (#8, 2-14). Libelulas is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 14-2 record is not that bad... Aguilar has a very solid season. In 13 games in Mexico she scored 10.4ppg. She also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 56.2%.
