Zonkeys de Tijuana (CIBACOPA) landed 26-year old American 180cm point guard Evan Gilyard II (college: UMKC). He played recently at Raptors 905 Mississauga (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 46 games he averaged 11.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 4.9apg last season. The last season season he played at Bulls in NBA G League.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Gilyard has played previously professionally in Czech Republic (Nymburk), Vietnam (Heat) and The Basketball Tournament (The Enchantment).
Among many awards his team won Czech Republic League Regular Season in 2023. He was also voted to All-Summit League Newcomer of the Year back in 2022 at his college time.
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Gilyard graduated from University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2022 and it is his third season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: New Mexico State University, The University of Texas at El Paso.
