Mieleras - Penguins 73-33

Mieleras held Penguins to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Mieleras forced 30 Penguins turnovers and outrebounded them 46-32 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Penguins helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Destiny Pitts (178-1999, college: Texas A&M) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Mia Castaneda (168-1998, college: Washburn) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Castaneda is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Colombian Juliana Osorio (-1998) produced 12 points and Frida Figueroa added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
