Caballeros de Culiacan (CIBACOPA) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American 196cm guard Jarron Cumberland (college: Cincinnati). It is actually his comeback to Caballeros de Culiacan as he has played here before. He played recently at Delaware Blue Coats (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 38 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.5apg and 1.2spg last season. He also played for Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Division I) in Angolan league.
Cumberland is a very experienced player. Thanks to Cumberland's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in six different countries. He has played previously professionally in NBA (Portland Trail Blazers), Greece (Aris Midea), NBA G League (RGV Vipers and Raptors 905 Mississauga), TBL (Cincinnati Warriors) and The Basketball Tournament (Nasty Nati).
Among many awards his team made it to the Mexican CIBACOPA Semifinals in 2023. Cumberland received All-AAC Player of the Year award back in 2019 at his college time.
He graduated from University of Cincinnati in 2020 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
