23-year old USA-NGRn center Rita Igbokwe (193-C-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Abejas de Leon and receives a Hoops Agents LNBPF Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Freseras (#2, 4-2) 69-100. Abejas maintains the 7th position in Mexican league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just one victory. Igbokwe just recently signed at Abejas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The University of Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Igbokwe leads league in rebounds with 11.5rpg. Igbokwe is in league's top in and averages solid 1.7bpg.
Second best performed player last round was Destiny Pitts (178-G-1999) of league's second-best Freseras Irapuato. She is American guard in her first season at Freseras. In the last game Pitts recorded an impressive 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Freseras to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Abejas (#7, 1-5) 100-69. This victory allowed Freseras to move up to second position in the standings. Her team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Pitts is one of the most experienced players at Freseras and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to another Abejas' star - forward Nairimar Vargas-Reyes (183-F-2000). Vargas-Reyes scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Vargas-Reyes' great performance the Abejas de Leon lost 69-100 to the higher-ranked Freseras (#2, 4-2). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Abejas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Vargas-Reyes she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Vargas-Reyes has a very solid season. In 5 games in Mexico she scored 9.0ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
