Davis number one in Mexican LNBPF for round 14

American Guard Rennia Davis (188-G-1999) had a great game in the last round for El Calor, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBPF Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds, while her team outclassed Rojas (#7, 3-11) with 46-point margin 116-70. El Calor maintains the 4th position in Mexican LNBPF. El Calor is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at El Calor, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Tennessee star has very solid stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.4rpg) and averages impressive 56.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another El Calor's star - young American Iimar'I Thomas (178-G/F-2000). Thomas had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 12 assists. Of course together with Davis she helped El Calor with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Rojas (#7, 3-11) 116-70. El Calor's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 7-7 record is not bad at all. Thomas is one of the most experienced players at El Calor and similarly like Rennia Davis has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.4ppg (#3). She also registered 5.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Sidney Cooks (193-F/C-1998) of league's second-best Fuerza Regia Femenil. Cooks scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Fuerza Regia, leading her team to a 74-70 win against #3 ranked Panteras in a game of the week. Fuerza Regia needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Cooks has a very solid season. In 13 games in Mexico she scored 13.2ppg. She also has 5.4rpg and a FGP of 53.8%.
