Zinaich's double-double lands him LNBP Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American forward Connor Zinaich (201-F-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for Soles de Mexicali and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Halc.Xalapa (#12, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 95-83. Soles maintains the 5th position in Mexican LNBP. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Soles won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Zinaich had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Soles, through which he has constantly improved. Nova Southeastern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Zinaich is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Romeao Ferguson (196-G-1997) of Mineros de Zacatecas. He is American-Argentinian guard in his first season at Mineros. In the last game Ferguson recorded an impressive 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Mineros to another comfortable win outscoring Panteras (0-2) 114-87. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Ferguson is one of the most experienced players at Mineros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 6.5rpg and 5.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Michael Myers (206-F-1992, agency: Diamond Sports) of league's second-best Dorados de Chihuahua. Myers scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Dorados, leading his team to a 87-85 win against Santos (#14, 0-2). Dorados has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Myers also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Myers has a great season in Mexico. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (7th best).

10. Mirza Bulic (207-SF-1992) of Mineros - 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
