American Power forward Tyren Johnson (202-PF-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Dorados de Chihuahua, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 37-year old player was the main contributor (17 points, five rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Santos (#14, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 87-85. Dorados is placed at 2nd position in Mexican LNBP. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Dorados won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Johnson has many years of experience at Dorados, through which he has constantly improved. Former University Louisiana at Lafayette star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 6.5apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg,55.6% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Malik Toppin (206-C-1997) of El Calor de Cancun. Toppin had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as El Calor lost that game 86-95 to Diablos (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Toppin is one of the most experienced players at El Calor and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Former Salem University star Toppin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Eric Williams Jr. (201-F-1999) of Correcaminos UAT Victoria (#10). Williams Jr. scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Williams Jr.'s great performance the Correcaminos lost 78-98 to Fuerza Regia (#3, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Correcaminos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Williams Jr. has individually a great season in Mexico. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.5rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jimond Ivey (196-G-1996) of El Calor - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Lewis Sullivan (201-F-1995) of Fuerza Regia - 14 points and 8 rebounds
6. Dontrell Brite (175-PG-1994) of Diablos - 19 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
