American Guard Joshua Webster (190-G-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Soles de Mexicali, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 28-year old player got a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists, while his team beat Panteras (#13, 1-5) 106-93. It allowed Soles to consolidate first place in the Mexican LNBP. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Soles already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. Webster has many years of experience at Soles, through which he has constantly improved. Former Missouri State University star has very solid stats this year. Webster is league's best passer with 8.8apg. Webster is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.2spg and 61.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jaron Martin (178-PG-1995) of Panteras de Aguascalientes. Martin had a very good evening with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Panteras lost that game 93-106 to league's leader Soles (#1, 5-0). This loss caused Panteras to drop to 13th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Panteras managed to get this year. Martin is one of the most experienced players at Panteras and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 4.8rpg and 7.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Alphonso Willis (188-G-1998) of Correcaminos UAT Victoria (#6). Willis showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Correcaminos, leading his team to a 90-69 easy win against the lower-ranked Abejas (#11, 1-3). Correcaminos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Willis has a great season in Mexico. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.8rpg (6th best) and assists with 5.0apg (7th best).
