Horton's 23 points give him LNBP Player of the Week award

36-year old American forward Kenneth Horton (201-F-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) had an amazing evening in the last round for Mineros de Zacatecas and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 23 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Mineros in his team's victory, helping them to beat Santos (#14, 1-11) 89-79. Mineros maintains the 4th position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mineros will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Horton had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Kenneth Horton averages this season 10.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Erik Thomas (195-PF-1995) of Panteras de Aguascalientes. He is Argentinian-American forward in his first season at Panteras. In the last game Thomas recorded an impressive 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Panteras to another comfortable win 100-87 over the lower-ranked Correcaminos (#12, 3-9) being unquestionably team leader. Panteras' 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Thomas is a newcomer at Panteras and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Mineros' star - center Tavario Miller (203-C-1994). Miller scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was another key player of Mineros de Zacatecas, helping his team with a 89-79 win against the lower-ranked Santos (#14, 1-11). Mineros needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Miller has a very solid season. In 4 games in Mexico he scored 9.8ppg. Miller attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
