Smith's 25 points and 5 assists give him Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award

30-year old American guard Daishon Smith (185-G-1995) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Diablos Rojos del Mexico and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 25 points adding two rebounds and five assists for Diablos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Fuerza Regia (#5, 9-5) 96-83. Diablos is placed at 2nd position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Diablos will need more victories to improve their 11-3 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. University of Louisiana at Monroe graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in points (7th best: 11.9ppg) and averages solid 51.6% FGP and 40.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Avry Holmes (185-G-1994) of Fuerza Regia Monterrey. He is American guard in his first season at Fuerza Regia. In the last game Holmes recorded an impressive 25 points. Bad luck as Fuerza Regia lost that game 83-96 to the higher-ranked Diablos (#2, 11-3). Fuerza Regia managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Holmes is a newcomer at Fuerza Regia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Diablos' star - forward Alphonso Anderson (198-F-1997). Anderson scored 21 points. He was another key player of Diablos Rojos del Mexico, helping his team with a 96-83 easy win against the lower-ranked Fuerza Regia (#5, 9-5). Diablos needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Anderson has a very solid season. In 14 games in Mexico he scored 13.6ppg. He also has 4.8rpg, a FGP of 61.5% and 3PT: 47.9%.
