American guard Jimond Ivey (196-G-1996, college: Akron) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 31 points he had in the Mexican LNBP. Ivey graduated from The University of Akron in 2019. Despite his strong performance, his team El Calor was edged by the Correcaminos 83 to 84. His team won the Mexican LBE Regular Season earlier this year. Among many awards he was selected as the Latinbasket AllMexican CIBACOPA Player of the Year and Import Player of the Year in 2023.
