Argentinian-American Erik Thomas (195-PF-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Panteras de Aguascalientes and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 30-year old power forward had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Panteras in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Santos (#14, 2-18) 87-83. Panteras is placed at 7th position in Mexican LNBP. Panteras is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-11 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Panteras' top player in his first season with the team. University of New Orleans graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.8ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.2rpg) and averages solid 51.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Lewis Sullivan (201-F-1995, agency: BIG) of Fuerza Regia Monterrey. Sullivan impressed basketball fans with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Fuerza Regia to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Abejas (#12, 4-16) 100-66. Fuerza Regia's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-6 record is not bad at all. Sullivan is a newcomer at Fuerza Regia and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.4ppg (#9). He also registered 6.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American JP Moorman II (201-G/F-1998, agency: Players Group) of Freseros Irapuato (#13). Moorman II scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Moorman II's great performance the Freseras lost 83-91 to the higher-ranked El Calor (#10, 8-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Freseros can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Moorman II has a very solid season. In 19 games in Mexico he scored 9.9ppg.
