Ibarra's 27 points and 9 rebounds give him Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award

30-year old USA-MEXn center Joshua Ibarra (211-C-1995) had a great game in the last round for Fuerza Regia Monterrey and receives a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Fuerza Regia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Astros (#2, 21-3) 107-98. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Fuerza Regia moved-up to the 4th position in Mexican LNBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Fuerza Regia will need more victories to improve their 16-8 record. Ibarra turned to be Fuerza Regia's top player in his first season with the team. Joshua Ibarra averages this season 15.2ppg and 8.2rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Serigne Barro (208-C-1995) of Panteras de Aguascalientes. He is Senegalese center in his first season at Panteras. In the last game Barro recorded an impressive 17 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Panteras was edged by the higher-ranked Diablos (#3, 16-8) 90-87. Panteras managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-13 record. Barro is a newcomer at Panteras and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Luismal Ferreiras (200-PF-2003) of Santos de San Luis Potosi (#14). Ferreiras scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Santos, leading his team to a 87-74 easy win against the higher-ranked El Calor (#10, 10-14). Santos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-20 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Ferreiras has a very solid season. In 10 games in Mexico he scored 12.1ppg. He also has 10.4rpg and a FGP of 52.4%.
